We spent the weekend without Dad cause he was out of town. We ended up having a nice lazy morning and then decided to go to Zamzows and then we heard something really cool. This was a sound that brought back great childhood memories!!! The sound of race cars at the speedway!!! I took the boys up on the canal bank and showed them a little and just couldn't see enough. I though we would go and see when they start the season and what do you know an open door and a welcome sign. Soooo.... we went and watched them race for almost 2 hours. The kids loved it!! Then we went and did a couple hours of soccer games and game home fried.

Kyleigh seemed to enjoy the days outside. This was Sunday after church. I know the hat is a little much but she doesn't want a burnt head!!

Austin completed his MINI MARATHON at school. Out of the whole school he got 1st place for running and completing 26 miles. (Of course not all at once) He has really enjoyed running and has been working hard to get to that marker. Now they tell him kid with the most miles in the whole school gets a prize. So after he completed the last lap he started on more!!

Mom came to school to cheer him on at the end!!!! Way to go Austin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Officially a 26er!!

Tonight we came home for a fun filled FHE night. We planted the garden (what we could) and then started a fire and roasted marshmallows. The kids really enjoyed the treats!!!!

Looks like DAD did TOO!!!

Kyleigh hanging out watching all the events!

Austin trying to toast to perfection. He had perfect marshmallows too!

Oh- I think that hat is to die for on Kyleigh- absolutely adorable! Ethan would be jealous of the Speedway. We never have gone, but it sounds like a ton of fun. Congrats to Austin on all his accomplishments - between art and racing and running, he is a surefire winner! Maybe he'll have to do the Boise 1 Mile Fun Run. I think Alex did it last year. Maybe they can all do it! Anyway, great times. Glad to see Jared is back safely. Maybe it was YOUR smoke we smelled coming in the windows - just kidding. It was a perfect night to roast!
