So this is a picture of one of the few moments that I have of the kids all having a great time together. It was loud but at least they were not fighting!!!

Austin had a school play and was an anteater. The production was fantastic and he did a great job. I need to learn how to get my video on!

A cheesy smile for the road!!!!

What more can I say, " A Money with a Monkey!"

This is a classic sight at our house. All the boys with some form of a scratch or bruise on them. Braden normally has 50 times as many as his brothers.

The boys have really enjoyed the strawberry patch lately. We have more than enough work for them everyday with picking all the ripe ones. They think they taste better if mom does all the work though!!

Kyleigh and Dad enjoying a little bit of fresh country air. I was beautiful up there!!!

Who can stare harder Branden or the Steer?

When we went to council we attended a hog/goat/beef roast. The kids played lots!

Austin finishing up his yummy watermelon!!!

They had some water balloon tosses. The balloons wouldn't pop so it wasn't too bad.

Branden got to dig for buried treasure! He got lots of things out of all the sawdust.

Grandma and Grandpa have a couple of steers and the kids had a great time with them. This one wanting to share a little grass with Austin.

This one is licking Kaden's hand and if you have never touched a cow tongue they are really rough and pull your skin like sandpaper!!! (But it doesn't hurt)

Kaden not so sure he wants to ride the steer. We don't have a picture of Austin but he actually jumped on one all on his own. No one there to help and was on for about 1-2 steps. Then was off as fast as he was on!!! This suprised me that our cautious Austin would do this!!

Branden also not so sure he wants to be on. He did ask for Dad to help him get on and then once out there didn't want to let go of Dad.

Now it is Dad's turn!!!! It has been a little while since he as done the little britches rodeo. I guess the steer riding was his thing. ALMOST THERE HON!!!!

OKAY!!! ON BUT NOT WHERE YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO BE!!!!

We came home to find many things in our yard. We first found that we have a gopher and it ate a 1/4 of our precious beets in our garden. Bummer!!!! We also found these cute little ducks taking cover from the boys in the corn. The mom has nested in our raspberries. We feel like the yard of animals lately.

Mom took them all for a little stroll in the yard.

Today, Austin was recognized at school in his mini marathon he was the kid who ran the most in his school. He ran a total of 44 miles. They awarded the top boy and girl who ran the most a whole bag of goodies.

This is him after he got his loot.

This is him with his new hydration belt for while he is running!

Looks like I have taken one to many pictures of all my organized loot to blog so now he displayed this and took the picture himself. He did get 2 bags, hydration belt, shoelaces, kids meal certificate, 2 smoothie certificates, a $10 gift card, power bar, 2 more water bottles, gatorade and I think that might be all. He was loaded!!!! We are sure proud of him. Maybe he will be a cool track star some day!!!

LOL jaren on that steer! Thanks for the laughs. Gophers...we have a trap if you want one. I asked Mike what he was going to do when he caught the one in our yard a couple years back, not something I wanted to see. I'm all for pouring poison on them. Sorry, you ate my beets!!
Ha ha ha - I'm with Makinzee on that one. Way to be brave, Jared. Boy, Amanda, you guys don't have to leave your backyard for wildlife, do you? The picture of Kyleigh is adorable. And congrats to Austin. By the way, that steer has to be the prettiest (can I use that word) I have ever seen. Not that I have seen a lot. I'll stop typing now. :)
