This was the day we were deciding what to do for our Saturday activity. Then we realized that it was a free day at the zoo and they had just opened the new African edition.
The boys were excited to be able to sit in this cool jeep thing that I guess is common in Africa.
This is a hut that they build their to live in and do other activities. 
We were able to go and see the giraffes. There were two of them and we were actually able to see them come outside and one sat down. That looks like a horrible thing to do with those long legs and neck. I wonder how they ever get up again. We were also able to see the lions. I would highly recommend the zoo at this time of year. All the animals were out and active unlike we have ever seen in all our years of going to the zoo. Of course now the weather is freezing and too cold to go out. We are glad that we had to opportunity when we did.

Kyleigh is getting so big!!! We love going to the zoo off season too- cheaper and less crowded. Looks like a fun day. We need to go check out the new exhibit- but that might be a while!
